… Glendinnings of Prudhoe/Tyneside Stages Rally, Sun 5th Aug …
The second part of an awfy busy weekend for the Cobble Shop Scottish Tarmack Championship regulars kicks off just over the Border in Englandshire on Sunday 5th August at Otterburn. Those who survive the rigours of the usedcaraparts.co.uk Solway Coast on Saturday will trek across country overnight from the far west to the far east.
Ahead lies one of the toughest events in the calendar, the Tyneside Stages Rally with 60 miles on Otterburn Ranges. If this place can break tanks , what can it do to rally cars?
The event also counts towards the AS Performance North of England Tarmacadam Championship, the HRCR Motoscope Northern Historic Asphalt Championship and the SG Petch ANECCC Rally Championship so our lot will be up against a dose of fast and furious furriners.
There doesn’t appear to be any official spectating area as access to the active Military Ranges is restricted and extremely tight. However, there will be a short report in next week’s Motorsport News and a longer report in JB’s on-line mag later.
