… Granite Stages at Leuchars, 27 May ….
This Saturday, the 3rd round of the Blackwood Plant Hire Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship will take place at Leuchars in Fife behind the closed gates of the military base. That means NO SPECTATORS. That’s because this is still an active military base and the on-site personnel like to know who is on their property at any given time!
Pity that, it should be a good event looking at the entry list with all the front runners and regular tyre shredders in attendance plus of course the Junior 1000 gang. Organised by Aberdeen & District Motor Club, the event will feature 8 stages totalling some 46 miles of flat-out motoring.
As ever, there will be short report from the venue on the Blog (www.johnfife.co.uk) or Facebook (JohnFife.Motoring) onSaturday evening followed by a much more detailed report as usual on the website (www.jajjgybunnet.co.uk) in the middle of next week. And if there is the chance to pick up any ‘stories’ then there might also be a News Roundup to follow. Happy days, eh?
Mind you, if you’ve got your MSA Marshalling ticket, you could volunteer to marshal at the event, get in free and see the action.
Graham Bruce is the Chief Marshal at: copilot58@btinternet.com
