The second half of this year’s Brick & Steel Junior 1000 Ecosse Challenge gets underway on Saturday 30th August with the first of two visits to Knockhill Race Circuit. The Weston Transport / Branston’s Knockhill Junior Rally starts at 3.00pm and should be all over by 8.00pm.
There will be12 special stages totalling some 29 miles of competitive driving over the extended network of on-site roads around the Knockhill race track.
Alex Vassallo leads the Championship with a maximum point score while Michael Robertson’s consistency has earning him the runner-up spot. Dylan O’Donnell lost out on second place dropping to third place after a non-finish on the Solway Coast when his fuel pump packed up.
Consistency has also helped Cameron Russell to move up to fourth in the points tables ahead of Michael Dickie who dropped down the leaderboard a couple of places when he tumbled his Toyota at Kames. Brandon Walsh and Finlay Retson are tired in sixth place, but with drivers counting only their best 6 scores from the 8 events, things could easily change over the second half of their season.
