ROGER ALBERT CLARK RALLY 2013 …
The ‘real’ RAC Rally gets underway this Friday (8th Nov.) in North Yorkshire before heading not east and west on Saturday and Sunday. There’s over 110 cars in an entry list dominated by Escorts, but very few Scots amongst them. Neil Shanks co-driving for Tim Pearcey is seeded at number 6 with Allan McDowall and Gain Heseltine running at number 9 plus Richard Crozier sitting alongside Clive Baty in a Renault 5 way down in car number 113. Further down the list and competing in the Clubmans event are Iain Heard and Alistair Maxwell in a Ford Escort MkII with Thomas Heard and Amanda Burney running behind them in the Volvo S70 T5.
The organisers are selling tickets and passes on their website and there is plenty of other information for spectators, so if you’re doing nothing else this weekend, then Kielder is a lot closer than Wales.
